Established in Portland, Maine in 2013 by Dan Smith, Steven Conner, Cory McWilliams, and Stefan Hanson. Perfect Hair follows in the footsteps of bands like Idaho, Duster, Codeine, and Bedhead making intricate, slow songs with special attention paid to dynamics, tempo, and counterpoint.

Perfect Hair first ended in the mid-2010s after recording a ten track album with Ron Harrity (Perfect Hair, released on tape in 2015 by Giraffe Boy Music).

As of 2024 Perfect Hair is back, joined by Matt Houston. We’re still based in Portland, though our members live in both the US and the EU.
